Description
Structural Design:
They are mainly used to prevent the leakage of lubricants and fluids, keep damaging contamination outside, and maintain effective sealing in heavy machinery and industrial equipment operating in demanding conditions.
The first metal ring remains static in its housing while the other, in rotation, ensure the sealing by creating friction between the two components in contact.
There are two types of floating seals. Both types of metal mechanical face seals consist of two identical metal sealing rings that interact and seal against each other on a closely ground sealing surface.
DO Type: which features an O-ring as an auxiliary sealing element.
DF Type: uses a diamond-section synthetic rubber instead of an O-ring to assist in sealing.
